Hi all, Hope someone can shed some light with this issue. Recently my 2.0 mk2 focus started lighting the battery light. The battery is fairly recent and the alternator is 1 year old. Voltage does not drop bellow 13 something volta with the engine on. This happens mostly while driving in slow traffic or idling for a long time.

From what you say it appears that the oil is on the outside of the spark plug therefore you must have an oil leak somewhere, surely you cleaned the oil that you spilt straight away, and whilst you shouldn't worry about it you should be concerned until you knowPosted September 17, 2014. Pollen filter is in the passenger footwell, behind the centre console. If you have your radio code, you miggt find it easier to take the fuse box & its mounting bracket out (really easy and pretty obvious how to do it). oil filter is under the car and pretty easy to do. It might cut down the engine noise a bit and it might even give a useful improvement in mpg. The Mk3 is a lot quieter than the Mk2.5 but, again, it's not a true comparison as that's a Titanium. I've driven a mk2.5 1.6TDCi Titanium for 3 yearsnow have a Mk3 1.6TDCi Titanium The sound difference is massive!
